How To Change the World
Social Entrepreneurs and the power of new ideas
After reading How to Change the World by David Bornstein, I've got so many new ideas into my mind...the desperate feeling of needing to do something huge and meaningful to bring a positive impact to society...the pride of being a part of an international organization aiming at activating global positive leadership...the WILL to go on exchange somewhere else in the world...working on a social project...and difficult questions to answer: how can I be this change agent that acts with leadership and entrepreurs skills over global issues?
Taking ASHOKA, Social Entrepreneurs into account...in the end of the book, the author describes the profile of someone who could work for Ashoka:
"Ashoka prefers the ones with independent ideas, who fell comfortable both in social and business sector!"
"These people generally leave the organiztaion after some years for founding their own organizations (inspired by our social entrepreneurs) or to enjoy new lucrative opportunities."
"Some Ashoka's workers have difficulties to adapt themselves to the entity's fast and intra-entrepreneurial culture, that requires a high level of AUTONOMY and INITIATIVE."
"Working with passion and energy towards the organization's mission"
"Great challenges asking for people who strive for excellence and are capable of identifying new opportunities!"
"To manage resources sustainably!"
"Innovation"
"Global perspective! Global vision!"
